Haulout complete

Haulout was completed at Canoe Cove. It was a week of hard work to get all the necessary tasks done before being put back in the water. It was also very expensive. Painting, repairs, new prop, bringing the electric motor online, and more. Then sailing back to Victoria.

The return sail was against a slow current, in light airs. I tacked all the way back to Victoria and the 24 nautical mile journey took 10 hours to complete. I averaged about 2 knots in the light winds and current.

Crossing Clover Point took an hour in itself as the wind was so light, and the current was strong. I had to look to the land and determine parallax in order to confirm we were still moving.

Formally 'Rangoon II', renamed 'Lilith'. Also, painted black, and white.

I was painting on the SV Lilith emblem the morning of our return to the sea.
